I had a ton of fun creating custom illustrations as well as the event design across print and digital for the Alliance’s 2020 32nd Annual Preservation Achievement Awards (and their first ever virtual event!).

Logo Design + Signage
The DillyBean is an upstate New York homemade and natural goods market specializing in fermented foods. I was hired to design the logo as well as concept signage for the storefront. The flowing, hand-lettered type is inspired by the growing vines and plants of a garden, which is where many of The DillyBean's products are grown. Starting with an in-depth conversation with the client and research into the market, I developed multiple concepts, which were refined into the final logo. After client feedback and revisions, the final logo has come alive on store signage (and cookies!).

Bossa nova music and the design that goes along with it in the form of album art and posters, has such rich visual language to draw upon. The BonBon Plot, a two person band out of St. Louis, needed a logo that would be 1. evocative of the music they play, 2: true to their own refined style, and 3: simple to roll out across any number of applications like the website, instagram and promotional materials.
I worked with the 50's and 60's references gathered by the client as a jumping off point, using colors and elements from of the bossa nova genre while maintaining a polished look. One thing I was particularly trying to distill was the fun looseness of the type and colors and style on so much bossa nova art without it looking amateurish, messy, or dated. The final logo uses simple color and negative space to allude to the rhythms found in their music and has the flexibility to be used with or without the symbol.

BlocSoc--an antibacterial, washable cover for shared yoga blocks--needed a logo that did double-duty. Because it is a brand new product in the category, it needed to look like it belonged with other yoga apparel brands. It also needed to start to inform the consumer about what it was without any extra communication. I dug into the visual vocabulary of the category to identify visual themes and to ensure it wouldn't be a disconnect for a consumer.
After exploring a range of logos, from zen to sporty -- I evolved a logo that layers the shapes of the block and an actual sock to create a flower symbol. It both fits in the yoga category and uses the common, recognizable shape of a block as it's foundation.
I worked on a number of brand and marketing extensions including magazine ads, trade show graphics, sell sheets, stationery, and custom usage illustrations.

My goal in designing this annual report was to make it just as comprehensible to people with visual impairment as it is to people who can see; every piece of text is repeated somewhere on the page in braille.
I designed the winter tasting menu at two Michelin star 16 Restaurant, at the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago. Inspired by the Chicago Transit System, the menu highlighted significant historical events and people in Chicago's varied history. I created a system to ensure easy navigation through the 20 and short-course menus simultaneously as well as creating 20 unique icons used throughout the menu. It was important to make the design as simple as possible so as to not complicate the dining experience.
