This house is the subject of one of my favorite books of all time: Martha Stewart’s New Old House, which chronicles the restoration of an old Federal-style house in CT. It was published in 1992 and features sponge-painted stencils and Martha dressed all in white visiting the job site. Kidding aside—it is a beautiful book and I go back to it all the time just to look at the pictures.
